Jaguar to sculpt C-X16 clay model live in London

Jaguar is set to send a team of its clay modelers out to Clerkenwell Design Week to work on a full-size model of its C-X16 concept car in a display of the skills involved in sculpting and vehicle design. Julian Thomson, Advanced Design Director, Jaguar, said: "Jaguar is one of the most technologically advanced companies in the field of product development but we still believe in the sense of artistry. "Emotional connections are at the heart of our vehicles and the traditional process of working with clay with some of the best sculptors in the world allows us to refine them into the purest surfaces," he added.

Peugeot has spiced up the launch of the all-new Peugeot 308 by teasing us with photos of the 308 R Concept to be launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show. And while we could suggest Peugeot has got the Golf GTI and Focus ST in its sights, we like to think of the 308 R Concept more as a grown-up version of the Peugeot RCZ R. 2015 Land Rover Defender delayed – creating the absolute dog’s danglers will take longer

Recently, we reported  Land Rover’s design director Gerry McGovern saying of the 2015 Land Rover Defender  “This car will be the bollocks, I assure you. The absolute dog’s bollocks.” But it seems that creating the absolute dog’s danglers is going to take a bit longer than planned. Autocar are reporting that John Edwards – Land Rover’s Global Brand Director – has said the new Defender will not be going in to production in 2015 as planned, although Land Rover are planning to scrap the current Defender then as it will no longer meet emissions regulations.
